Biographie

Researcher at the Perelman Centre. He is also Associate Professor of Data Law and Artificial Intelligence, and director of the Smart Law Hub at HEC Paris. He currently leads the project Smart Contracts and Regulatory Technologies at the Cyberjustice Lab, University of Montreal (ACT) and serve as Chair of the Artificial Intelligence Group (SIG) of the American Academy of Legal Studies in Business.

 

His research analyses the transformations of law and regulation in the global and digital society with a special focus on the fields of privacy, finance, international business transactions and corporate social responsibility. He combines approaches from legal theory, computer science and informatics, empirical legal studies, and science and technology studies. He has conducted several research and industrial projects, including R&D, with public partners such as the French Cour de cassation and European Commission, as well as with private partners such as Atos, Baker McKenzie, Dechert LLP, Natixis, AXA. He advises several governments in Europe and Latin America in legal reform in the areas of privacy and AI.
