On September 20-21, Isabelle Rorive will participate in the international conference « The Conscience Wars : Rethinking the Balance between Religion, Identity and Equality » at the Cardozo School of Law (New York). She will deliver a lecture entitled « The Unbearable Conscientious Objection in Reproductive Healthcare » where she argues that the recognition of a general right to conscientious objection derived from freedom of religion in reproductive healthcare (and beyond this field) is unworkable as it cannot be reconciled with the principle of equality and non-discrimination.
